Hi, My name is Chris Welsby, the founder of Animal Eden Pet Care.
My goal is to give all pet owners a safe and professional alternative to traditional boarding premises. As although this form of pet care can be effective and suitable for some, it really is not the best for all of our pets. Particularly in multiple pet households, where costs of boarding can become prohibitive. It is generally recognised that pets are happier in their own safe and familiar environment, in particular cats and other small pets.
Dogs also benefit immensely by receiving exercise, companionship and interaction on a regular basis, to bridge the gap during the day when owners are unable to walk their pets, or during times of convalescence.

There are also many people who would like to take on a rescue dog, but are unable to, due to work or other commitments. a mature, well behaved dog can be left up to 4 or so hours maximum, and the services of an insured and registered dog walker will often satisfy rescue organisation requirements. providing a midday walk, as well as the morning and evening walks that the owner provides, enabling a dog to find his forever home.
So a little about me, I have a lifetime of experience caring for animals. As a young child I was the one bringing home frogs, newts and baby birds that seemed to have been abandoned, much to my parents dismay (I now know that is not the correct thing to do). I have had dogs since I was 12 years old, as well as a menagerie of other small pets, cats, gerbils, hamsters, mice, rats, a rabbit, berber skink and tropical fish. For me working with animals is the best job in the world.
The other half of Animal Eden is Stephen my partner, he graduated in Environmental Science, which included Anatomy and Physiology of animals. a kindred spirit, he has a great understanding and love of the planet, having undertaken graduate studies on the effect of tourism on the local wildlife population in the Spanish Altos De La Lunas (The Mountains of the Moon) situated in Northern Spain. He went on from there to specialise in reptiles and aquatic flora and fauna.
